Description

I'm a single indiedev who has studied game development at a gymnasium in Sweden. I've made the game Velvet Guard and some other app titles.

History

Early history

Making games has always been a goal of mine ever since middle school. I started to try to learn Unity3D in its earlier days when I wanted to make my own version of the then popular facebook game "Uberstrike". I didn't go as well as planned considering I was 12 at the time. But I tried to make it nevertheless and actually learned a lot from it like basic object oriented programming. It was hard at first but eventually with some help and guidance the piece started to fall together. In the beginning I thought making a game by yourself would be an impossible task, but that didn't stop me from continuing game development and now years later game development comes naturally to me.

After that

Now I've finally made a game I can say that I'm proud of, it may not seem like the next big indie title, but I'm proud of it. I hope to inspire other people to pursue this career if they get the sense that this might be something they want to do in the future, I've seen a lot of people who really want to get into game development but thinks that it's impossible because they don't know where to start. The only thing they need to do is set a goal, come up with a simple idea and work from that. Just dedicate yourself to that particular idea, for example my idea was just a game where you shoot bullets, then it just grew from there and I just tried out different things to learn more about them.

Game History

The game started as a sort of school project, we had built an arcade machine at school and needed games on it so i took the deed to make a system and a game for the machine. It turned out to be a success amongst the students because i was never myself able to play with it since it was always occupied. Even now, 2 years later the machine is still being used and games are being made by the students so they can experience what it's like to have other play your game.

Game description

Velvet guard is a game inspired by the golden age of couch multiplayer, it's a 8-player party game centering around its core mechanic; one bullet. With different gamemodes and options each gameplay is never the same, with a wide array of abilities and expressive depth the game can be quite challenging and will surely make you wanna scream at your friend of either joy or frustration.
